It was back in 2015 that Francesca contacted me about her wedding. She has some of her family in Italy, so at first we were chatting about her and Phil tying the knot there. Finding a perfect location for a wedding is overwhelming, especially when you are trying to plan it from abroad, and Francesca was so set on doing a lot herself. She is an incredibly talented wedding cake maker, working under the name of Once upon a time cakes, so I knew then already that this wedding was going to be one for the books! A few weeks into our email exchange she told me they were moving their wedding to Ireland, somehow that was a lot more convenient for them (especially because Francesca wanted to make all of her wedding cakes herself). And we were still in!! They wanted to fly us to Ireland to photograph their wedding, and so it happened it was dated exactly on my birthday as well. :)
Phil and Francesca were so welcoming and lovely to us. Although we were working (like, proper working with all of the details they had at their wedding), it also felt like we were guests, and we couldn’t be more thankful for that amazing experience. It was so much fun working alongside the whole team at Ballymagarvey village, and I absolutely cannot wait to see this wedding published very soon. So far, here are a few of my personal favourites.
